I don't read about Canelo and his team telling Golovkin how to fight him and complain that GGG does not fight in a way the maximizes Canelo's chances to win.

These guys sound like the British generals who complained that the Americans used different tactics than they expected and would not fight in a "manly" way because they did not line up in straight line formations and march slowing toward the canons to make it easy for the British to slaughter them in the battlefield.

Can you image Muhammed Ali, Sugar Ray Leonard or the any of the other greats complaining that the opponent was not fighting the way they wanted him to fight? Does Golovkin realize how ****** he sounds? I thought GGG was a master of his trade. Apparently, he is more of a one trick pony!
Problem with your examples are they they are all boxers. Canelo said that he was the only real Mexican, but he fought like a runner. Shows how little you know about boxing using Ali and Ray Leonard as examples for Canelo. Even Canelo Mexican fans booed that boring running style he used in the first fight. Canelo now predicting a KO, you can’t KO the Champ by running backwards. If Canelo says he’s going to outbox GGG, that would be one thing. When he says he’s the only true Mexican and is going to KO him, then fights to survive 12 rounds, that’s what pissed off his fans. Too bad that 2 judges got fooled by his style, you can’t win a fight by throwing/landing less punches in 10 out of 12 rounds and being the mover. Byrd’s Scoredcard has to be one of the worst in history, that’s why GGG team and fans are so pissed off

If Canelo wants to use the same tactics he did in the first fight, then there is nothing anyone can do. Call him a runner if you want, but it's not illegal or anything. Canelo will not fight his usual fight because he's right there to be hit all night and he most certainly doesn't want that. I expect more of the same from Canelo in the second fight.

The one who can change things though is Gennady. Last time when he had Canelo on the ropes he didn't let his shots go which resulted in a close fight. He needs to do it this time to make sure he gets victory. Another cautious approach like the first fight and against Jacobs will only result in another close fight that could end in yet more controversy. Take it out of the judges hands and go for the KO. It's up to you Gennady. The choice is yours.

You missed the point! Whether you or I like the way Canelo fought that night is beside the point. It is unseemly and almost childish for Golovkin and his crew to complain that the opponent used tactics that frustrated him during the fight. It makes them look like crybabies. We are supposed to divine that they are saying these ****** things, in part, because of Byrd's scorecard? How in the hell does not work, mind reading? If that is their beef, rather than strain at gnats with that non sequitur they should say simply say so and ask the NSA to suspend her. Better for Golovkin to focus cutting the ring rather than following Canelo and getting into serious exchanges when Canelo invites him to the ropes. GGG was tentative and was beaten to punch in the exchanges so he went to plan b -- whine and complain after the fight. Though Alvarez did not clothe himself in glory in the eyes of some, Golovkin was throwing and missing wild punches worthy of a club fighter or rank amateur.

We are supposed to divine that they are doing it to build up publicity and goad Canelo into doing something ******. Like trying to win the fight and not just to survive.

You might be right, but who knows. I can imagine that team GGG consists or dolts and are simply babbling, or that they know that Canelo is not going to take the bait and like Trump they are saying ****** things to fire up their acolytes and the rest of their base. or something else. What I do know is that their incessant whining the Canelo will not stop moving, drop his hands and stick his chin out so that Golovkin can hit his is getting old. If GGG is such a trained killer, he should quit crying like some little kid, shut up, and get on with it.

What people are forgetting is that Canelo and Oscar both said that Canelo is going to knock GGG out this time so why is everyone shocked that team GGG responded by telling him to put up or shut up??? Fans would respect Canelo more if he just talks about outboxing GGG and fights the same way as he did last time - then if he sets the expectations that he is going after GGG for the KO and then doesnt even attempt to deliver that. Remember Canelo was the one who set himself up to a more aggressive approach and outcome this time and all team GGG is doing here is telling him to back up what he says. And dont forget that a lot of Canelo fans who said he boxed beautifully against GGG were the same ones who said Floyd ran in his fight with Canelo. I guess their bias gets to decide who is boxing beautifully and who is running.

Well he tried, but when you hit a guy with your best shot and he doesnt even blink you have to make an executive decision..

No, g would have to fight Canelo like he does against Vanes and Wade and Rubio to make Canelo fight. But g is hesitant and has respect for Canelo's power. Which keeps g from "fighting" as he is too hesitant to let his hands go. Also, g has no idea how to cut off the ring. That is what happens when you avoid all top competition until you are 35; you lack the skillset to beat the best.

While he was fighting the sisters of the poor for his first decade as a pro, he never had to develop certain skills. Because when he attacked with reckless abandon, his opponents were dropped and stopped easily. But Jacobs didn't let g do that, and g had no plan B. Canelo didn't let g because he can counter and has power. So g doesn't know what to do except publicly beg Canelo to fight the only style that gives g any chance of winning.

Also, g dropped a belt to avoid a guy with 12 pro fights, with no fights against a top 30 opponent. Literally. g vacated to avoid a complete bum. A guy about as good as the Ocampo that Spence just ko'd in one.
