That story makes him sound much better than he is. I never thought he was that good at any time and he was never the best at 168. I thought Jack beat him. I think he knew he would lose so he vacated. What boxer gives up a world title because he has some big fights coming up? I never heard that one before.

Why, because he beat a shot Dirrell?

He hasn't even proved himself to be a good fighter yet. He's decent until he does something.

It was only the last round Jack gave Degale a bit of a going over. It wasn't for the full 12 rounds.

Good fight @ 168, not so much if DeGale has to drain down! DeGale is too old for that!

I can't blame him too much, Uzcategui is high risk low reward and DeGale is in the twilight of his career.

I'm sure he wants the Groves-Smith winner which imo would be a step too far for him at this point but a good pay day.

Yeah, I think it would be 168. Degale dropping down wouldn't make sense for anyone.

Degale is super middle and Saunders is middle. That fight ain't happening.

Degale and Saunders were best mates on the GB team for years. Would be weird if they fought.

I hope it's the Chris Eubank Jr fight.

Saunders is moving up so I hear.

I don't know if he's planning on staying at the weight after the Degale fight or moving back down afterwards. But yeah, that's the news.
