Zanfer mostly do business in the US in cooperation with TopRank. Not sure if GBP can close a deal with Zanfer on Mungia's career.

I’d love to see a Munguía Canelo clash down the road.
I think it's the complete opposite . With Oscar signing Munguia to groom him as a future opponent for Canelo .

Looking for replacement in case if Clenelo gets beat up or becomes too much of a diva, not like he is already behaving as diva...

Imagine a fight between Canelo and this new prospect in about three years down the line... I mean he’s only 20 years old he has plenty of time to develop not to mention he is one heavy hitter! Good luck to GBP taking JM from zanfer promotions & sr. Fernando Beltran...
But I do think you are right on the money Golden boy promotions is trying to protect Canelo on the long run.
This fight in three years will be a barnburner. I wanna see Munguia keep growing to see how far he goes but if everything goes well a Canelo showdown would be great. And yup, we'll see how it goes. But Canelo is still young so no way Golden Boy wants to risk him too often. They're already risking it with the GGG rematch.

Hope so. I mean both guys are still young so I can see this fight taking place in 3 years maybe? Solid fight in my opinion at 160.

Hope so . But the whole GBP signing of Munguia will definitely help the kid .
I asked a friend of mine who's a known boxing manager in Mexico if Munguia has " The Goods " . His exact reply was " the kids young , strong and has skill . Unfortunately he'll never make Real money under Zanfer " .
That's the reason I say it'd benefit Munguia being with Oscar . If my theory is correct Oscar will get him a couple decent paydays before the Canelo fight .

This confirms Oscars worried about losing his cashcow canelo in Sept to king genad.
