  • Comments Thread For: Ramirez: I Want Unification Fight Next, Not Rematch With Hart

Jesse Hart wants a second shot at Gilberto Ramirez, but the feeling isn't quite mutual. Ramirez seems content with his unanimous-decision victory over Hart in what was a very competitive super middleweight title fight September 22 in Tucson, Arizona. Hart survived a second-round knockdown, hurt Ramirez in the 11th round and lost by slim margins on all three judges' scorecards (115-112, 115-112, 114-113).

Eubank Jr. or David Lemieux next, then a unification in 2019! I don't know what Danny Jacobs has going on next, but if the choice was 50% of a fight with Dervy, or 40% for a fight with Zurdo, I would take the fight with Zurdo! The winner of GGG/Canelo is not fighting Jacobs anyway, and Saunders is not going to fight Jacobs before he fights Canelo or Golovkin!

They really should try to make Ramirez vs Degale

Hopefully he fights Uzcategui. If the WBO makes it mandatory, he should just drop the belt if he gets an Uzcategui match then he can always unify with Hart in a rematch. Than Benevidez. Good future for Zurdo

Uzcategui beats the piss out of Zurdo

He's really not that great of a fighter, neither is Jesse Hart but they are pretty much on the same level. If he fights Uzcatagui he gets sparked, so why not fight a guy you could go life or death with and make it a trilogy and make the money. There are no stars at 168 that are going to line his pockets so much he can avoid fighting the guy he can beat but not so easy. I see him fight and he looks like he's a real challenge away from losing his belts. He gets hit too much and he doesn't have fight changing power so it's only a matter of time.

Yup! Not even close. Zurdo has a better shot against DeGale.

I actully wouldn't mind seeing Z fight Eubank Jr.

Ive tried rooting for him but hes just not really that good. Hes in a sht division and still looks bad. He talks up a big game but at this point his skills dont match his big talk. He thinks wayy to highly of himself I mean they were booing the fight. Not a good look.

I thought the WBC had ordered Benavidez to fight the Groves/Smith winner. As a unification Zurdo/DeGale trumps a mandatory, so maybe that's the way forward.
