I think they are both bs. Taking boxing off of television is a bad idea, IMO.

Depends on the product. Bellator and the WBSS aren't enough for me to suscribe. One doesn't interest me at all, the other is a temporary tournament that will be stretched out over time, meaning a lot of months where I'm paying for something I'm not using.

So ultimately it will boil down to what else Hearn (or the app) offers.

Only the true hardcores from America will be buying. I myself know where to stream fights for free. They're gonna have a hard time getting a foothold for $20 a month, when ESPN + is $5 and comes way more packed with stuff relevant to American sports.

Don't care about MMA or anyone in the WBSS outside of Gassiev-Usyk. Basically it'll boil down to AJ, washed Khan & Brook, prospects, and Matchroom tough man's. Not enough for me personally.

Well we shall see, even at the same price you still will have to be able to match what ESPN can offer and that is not likely since ESPN own the rights to just about every popular sport in the US

UFC is a league where the best Mix Martial Artist Fighters Fight!

              I'm in the U.S.

I'll be subscribing to DAZN once it comes out here.

Nice! Bellator's been putting on better fights than the UFC, as of late.

A subscription based sports app where you stream basically. They have launched already in a few other markets and officially are launching in America in coming months (I think September start). Price point and full details are still unknown but launch of matchroom DAZN deal can be found easily on YouTube

Bellator is a decent get but UFC is the better brand and will be on ESPN+ so unless their price point is below that of ESPN+ which it probably can't be they are not looking great.

They essentially have the same product but worse with the possible exception of boxing and that is at worst a push right now unless Hearn does come through big and ESPN has deals to show leagues that start with M or N on top of the direct competition stuff.

So cheaper, beat them to market, better quantity of sports and better quality of sports content for the market. Unless they can get some major rights for the US which will be expensive and drive the price up.

I think DAZN is a day late and a dollar short to win on their own, and their best bet is essential to do well enough to survive then get taken out by a bigger player that needs content like Comcast (NBC which also has rights) or ATT or someone coming later to market with content rights like a CBS or Fox.
