Wilder is not a tenth as good a fighter and his opposition has been horrible for the most part. Mayweather was a world champion at age 21 and beat champion after champion. Wilder has defeated only one good fighter in his whole career and that is Ortiz. All the others were no better than fair. Mayweather is reasonable well spoken. Wilder talks like an uneducated thug and every other word is a cuss word. Mayweather has class and Wilder has no class unless you think yelling bomb squad is classy. Mayweather is very intelligent. Floyd was a half decent speaker when he was younger but as he's gotten older his speech has deteriorated. Wilder is an ok speaker but fumbles his words a lot which hurts his image. He's also awkward as a fighter and person.

Floyd's style was prettier to watch and he fought way better competition than Wilder. His controversial persona out of the ring helped build his infamy which turned into pay per view success.
