most ibf eliminators are voluntary. anybody in the top 15 can volunteer and the highest guy to say yes is who they fight. 1 and 2 sit vacant until guys offer to fight eliminators for those spots.

its usually only the final eliminator that the ibf forces.

That's not very surprising. Boxing is full of businessmen.

The IBF will keep working down their list, until the answer is yes.

Hughie Fury is next, and if he doesn't want it, the list goes to Carlos Takam. If Takam passes on the fight, you get down to 5 German fighters I've never heard of and one of them will gladly take the fight.

All this stall has done (don't for one moment think that Dillian Whyte walked away from £150k, and Jarell Miller walked away from $500k, without Eddie Hearn promising to get that money back; Whyte got the Box Office slot with Joseph Parker, and Jarell Miller likely will get his own date on DAZN) is push back the window another 6-8 weeks from when Hearn has to play dueling wallets with Pulev's (just how the Wilder talks were used to stall playing dueling wallets with Ryabinsky for the Povetkin fight; had Wilder not shown that he had the money to Trump any event that Hearn could have in the UK, Hearn would've lined up the three fights in the same deal. Povetkin at Wembley with Wilder fighting Whyte, Joshua-Wilder at Wembley, and then the rematch in Las Vegas.) backers on the IBF mandatory.

They seem desperate to get a fight over there.
I can understand why fighters don't want to travel there, it's good money though.

No problem. Always happy to help. Any time you see #1 or #2 vacant in the IBF rankings, anybody in the top 15 can request an eliminator and they'll get it as long as two fighters ahead of them don't object and agree to do an eliminator too.

Good point, they will find someone eventually... maybe Hughie Fury will take it with his #5 ranking?

I'm thinking he either got Wilder fight lined up or he is one of the 6 Hearn will announce on DAZN
Miller said he won't fight abroad, I don't think he will take that fight. Pulev is an underrated boxer, these brawlers will struggle with him.

I can't understand why people won't take the fight? the IBF will enforce the winner early next year.
