Showtime doesn't have to and won't move Wilder-Breazeale to PPV; with the stellar Ortiz performance and the attention that that drew, Wilder-Breazeale can easily air on CBS, draw a tremendous rating if the fight goes a few rounds, and then go to PPV with Wilder's first fight of 2019, with or without Anthony Joshua.

If you want to bet on that fight drawing a Golovkin, so be it.

Maurice Hooker is either going to WBSS or to Espn to fight Alex Saucedo. Either way RNS won’t be the lead promoter. They don’t do shows anymore and laid off almost their whole staff. As for their prospects, Luis Aris and Dusty harrison got the releases they begged for due to lack of activity. They don’t have a group of prospects. More like a handful.

As for Fox they have wrestling. FS1 will still collect those time buy checks to show PBC cards but as you can see that has slowed down considerably. We are 6 months into the year and FS1 has had what 2-3 cards? They used to do that on FS1 every month. It doesn’t take a genius to see where that is going.

As for Canelo, his fight vs Trout was the biggest rated fight on showtime. His fight vs Kirkland did over 2 mil.

Wilder isn’t even close to Canelo. Doesn’t have a tenth of the fan base. After that floyd Fight Canelo was doing in the 300k range of ppv buys. Like I said wilder wouldn’t even do 100k. Only Joshua can drive them to doing 500k or so.

That's why Hearn made the flat fee offer of 15 million. The fight was never signed by Wilder since the contract had not date or venue filled in. Finkel received the contract on Sunday and said it would be returned today(Friday). All Hearn had to do is to tell the WBA the next fight would be a unification fight and request an exception. Instead, he responded to the WBA within the 24 hour deadline by stating the next fight was going to be Povetkin in London on 9/22. If you want quotes, I can provide them.

All 4 of these were on Showtime.

As boxing fans we should not take neither Wilder's or Joshua's side. Both sides need to be bashed for pretending to negotiate via the media. Neither side was truly serious and both sides wanted a way out. Both sides left out details and acted like children.

There was no good faith to make this fight from the beginning. It was all a game of. Let's pretend we want it, stall it forever and when it falls through, we can blame the other side.
