I know what he attempted to do. And there is a reason from all the guys he mentioned, he signed exactly none of them. His big unrevealing wasn't supposed to be guys like Beterbiev/Hooker/Andrade, it was supposed to be Broner/Mikey/Spence/Wilder/etc. That's a big part of my post. He had the wrong initial strategy and just thought he could take fighters away from Haymon/SHO by offering them a lot of money.

Hearn has said Wilder's team doesn't care if it is on DAZN. But I guarantee you that won't be the case if the fight takes place in April. Wilder's side will want it on SHO, or a much bigger guarantee. Just getcha popcorn ready, it's going to be a hell of a ride.

HBO will be gone after the Canelo PPV Milking is over. They don't need Boxing and they have the evidence/metrics to prove this. In Theory, if Boxing was crucial to HBO's Buisness they would be serving much better. But it's been a slow, deliberate decline of quality since Floyd Left.

        1. Joshua will face destruction if the fight doesn't happen. I don't care how big of a cult hero he is in the UK. Everyone wants this fight to happen and they got one pass with the mandatory this time, but you can't say it will happen in April of 2019 and then go face someone else. That will be two times the fight failed to materialize. At that point the passes are gone and you start to get the brunt of the blame.

        2. We shall see if the Joshua/Matchroom extension gets announced soon. To me, it would be ****** for Joshua to sign any type of long term deal. Not saying he shouldn't continue to work with Hearn, but no need for him to sign an extension. How does he benefit from that? Hearn isn't going to not work with him if he prefers to work on a fight by fight basis. Joshua is THE draw in the UK, and Hearn needs him more than the other way around. Joshua like you said is already well known in the country and is a superstar.

        3. I bet you Joshua will be able to fight on Sky Box Office with or without Hearn. Warren already showed an e-mail saying Hearn doesn't have exclusive rights to Sky and others can fight on PPV on Sky Box Office. Hearn tried to say he helped negotiate the deal, but Warren and Mick both refuted those claims. And do you guys have other PPV platforms aside from Sky Box Office? Like in the states you could fight HBO PPV, SHO PPV, ESPN PPV, etc.

        4. You said Hearn is just trying to disrupt the market, but he will have a platform that NO ONE in the states knows about. DAZN is completely new here and you will need the reporters on your side to speaks good things about it. One of the reasons PBC/Haymon had a hard time was due to all the reporters killing the product in their articles. Hearn is smart enough to realize this. His plan this entire time was to put Joshua/Wilder on DAZN and hope to attract hundred of thousands of subscribers.
Your not understanding. Joshua's UK Fans are not Boxing fans they are just casual sports fans. Joshua has hords of Female Supporters, Football Supporters he is just a rare fighter that has reached the mainstream audience. So he can fight against anyone and these people won't care as long as they see his six pack and huge muscles. Wilder is not even known here, except for the Hardcore Boxing fans.

It's also a testament to how big he is, is that he's only been fighting on Sky since his debut and only 11M out of 65M people in the UK have Sky which is a expensive subscription service.

No, Joshua only has Sky Sports Box Office if he wants to make big money on a tried and tested PPV Channel. There is BT Sport PPV however they are exclusive with Frank Warren, and have never done a PPV as they only entered Boxing in 2017.

UK is a small market, you don't need 3/4 PPV Broadcasters like in the US. Sky is the only player, Joshua is the only fighter which gurantees big money. Don't let the UK Fans fool you, the reason why Boxing is hot here, is soley because of Joshua, he gets Knocked out 2/3 times like David Price and Boxing will be dead here as he is the sole reason why boxing was rejuivnated here. Carl Froch helped a little aswell

Haymon doesn't have his fighters sign network deals. If Wilder was strictly SHO, he wouldn't have been able to fight on FOX and NBC.

Well ever since he became the WBC Champion it's quite clear he will only be fighting on Showtime. So it makes no sense, unless SHO think Wilder will get knocked out by Joshua

I don't think Wilder's Team cares if it's on SHO. Or they would have said that, when Hearn said it could be on DAZN for US TV, Shelly Finkle or Wilder didn't object.

I don't believe a smart man like Hearn could just believe he just walks in and take the best fighters from Haymon and SHO. DAZN/Hearn have signed Thurman and close to getting Mikey Garcia, so it's a start

He’s been on FOX and CBS since he won the title.

Not true. After he became the champ, he fought on FOX and NBC. He became the champ on January of 2015, he fought Duhaupas on NBC, and both Arreola/Washington on FOX.

Is it official that he signed Thurman? I just heard rumors on here but nothing concrete. I do know Jermell Charlo said he is flying out to NYC, so is he along with his brother part of the reveal show tomorrow. They would certainly be good gets for Hearn.

It explains why took so long for Hearn to throw away the 50 million. He wanted to have Joshua fighting Miller to make Dazn fly and then fight Wilder to make it really work. But the only excuse they had was to say they didn't want the fight on the US. Now the Miller fight is impossible. Joshua asking 50 million really hurt Hearn's plans
