Saunders is only keeping the belt without fighting anyone since December. Besides, you better learn how to be a good goalkeeper cos Saunders run up and down like a footballer. He doesn't trade blows cos he doesn't hit hard and has a suspect chin.

That Saunders is looking for the big money fight doesn't seem in doubt, and that restricts him to golovkin or Canelo.

I don't think there is any chance canelo fights saunders, styles all wrong and could be a disaster of a fight for canelo even if he wins (potential hard-to-score fight with little action, potential stinker of a fight, arguments that judges gift canelo again...no way gbp pay big to go into a fight like that, and if they don't pay big, Saunders won't sign. Won't happen)

So that leaves golovkin, and can only imagine saunders is hoping golovkin wins so he can line up a fight with him next....and with golovkin aging, saunders might just pull it out.

Meantime why risk that scenario by fighting anyone like jacobs ? Again, unless and until golovkin ceases to be an option, saunders does whatever he needs to do to avoid losing his place in line.
