You mean for the portion of the round he did, which was not often. Granted if he can do that more than he did, and continued to get the better he would win. That is the question, can he? History seems to indicate he does not have the stamina to do that effectively. Also, how much if any did he benefit from PEDs? To me that is the whole question of the next fight. If Canelo is basically the same fighter stamina wise we saw in the first fight he can definitely win. He improves marginally he wins, he degrades slightly and he should lose (I say should because I do not trust the judges).Comment

Exactly. Hell I think he showed more stamina than any other fight given his movement and the constant pressure of Golovkin. The question is did he benefit from PEDs? I think you are more likely to see Canelo with less stamina than he showed in the first fight than more. Given one of the benefits (better endurance) of Clenbuterol it seemed even more probable to me that he knowingly used it.Comment

Lemuix said the same thing about Saunders. Called him a runner for not standing there and letting him t-off on him.Comment

In training camp Canelo better put emphasis on practicing planting his feet while unleashing 2 & 3 punch combinations, thats if Oscar is serious and not just talking...... nevertheless, Canelo can't stray from his bread & butter - his very good boxing skills. He's not the stereotypical Mexican brawler, he admires the more skillful aspects of the game and tries to emulate that. This fight, to me, will prove a lot, because it'll prove if he was on drugs or not. Was it "the meat" or was it Canelo simply doing his thing through hard work & dedication....

It isn't a matter of getting hit with a good punch or even being hurt. Damn anyone getting punched in the face or tagged to the body is going to hurt. The question is were they significantly hurt. Neither guy IMO was significantly hurt in the fight.Comment

cotto was looking like ****t before he hired mcmillian and to me it made a big difference...
plus this was canelos first fight ever at 160, going from 154 to 165 to 160 in a year it can really affect... i think if he comes a bit lighter for this fight it could be good for him, we shall see..Last edited by icha; 06-29-2018, 01:09 PM.Comment
