    Robin Reid making a comeback..

"I'm ticking over right now and, at 35, I'm absolutely starving!

"Listen, boxing is in my blood. It's been my life for 20 years, I've travelled the world as an amateur and pro and spent more time in the boxing gym than anywhere.

"I'm inspired by Bernard Hopkins fighting as well as anybody at 41, 42 years old.

"I'll get in a couple of eight-rounders at light-heavy, sharpen things up, then I want the British title (Carl Froch) and Calzaghe.

"If Calzaghe is at light-heavyweight by the time I get to him, then that is cool. But I remember promising myself years ago that I'm not hanging up my gloves until I get him in the ring with me again.

"I'm the only boxer to of beaten Calzaghe and I know he can't hurt me. I need to get in there with him again just for my own peace of mind, but I believe I can take him if everything goes according to plan.

"Your going to see a complete change in my boxing style, you'll see me working harder and hitting harder.

"I'm prepared to train harder than ever, I plan to lift heavier weights and have better running times than ever before. I can live with Calzaghe."

Yes, Reid needs to lift heavier weights. That'll work.

    Not.

Reid needs to realize Hopkins looked good vs a tentative Tarver who was somewhat depleted by losing weight. Reid would get his ass kicked by Calzaghe if they fought again.

Well, I'd quite like to see him fight Froch. Works both ways, Reid is a step up in class for Froch and Froch is good enough to see if Reid really has anything left.

I think Lacy set some kind of record for how many points he was up on the cards at the time of the Reid stoppage...

Robin is a good fighter, he just didn't do himself justice against Lacy.

Let's be honest. It wasn't a gift! It was a close fight but i had JC winning it.

A damn shame seeing a once decent fighter hanging his hat on a close fight with Joe Calzaghe. If anything he should be moaning about the Sven Ottke robbery. His mind is not in boxing anymore, I guess it's just the money, and maybe his ego, but Calzaghe would give him a vicious beating I would not like to watch.
