But Finkel's side of the story was that everything was ironed out and they would sign the contract on Friday.

Why did it have to wait till Friday, why couldn't they sign it when the WBA issued their 24-hr warning? They returned it instead unsigned.

Why has nobody given a rational explanation for this?

Lawyers still need time to go over everything and give the okay. The WBA deadline is irrelevant because the worst thing that happens is they order a purse bid in a couple weeks and that still gives time for the Wilder fight to be signed. Hearn is tricking the fans into thinking the WBA deadline meant something different than what it actually meant.

They'd had the contract for what...10 days, at that point?

The WBA deadline is relevant because Wilder's team gave that as the reason they gave up on making the fight at that point.

... neither Finkel nor Haymon will let Wilder sign that fight vs AJ... not even in 2019... they will wait until the DAZN danger dissipates...

when finkel said theyd sign that week, theyd had the contract exactly one week, but thats how long it took to get the clarification they needed.

wilders team didnt give up on making the fight. theyll sign tomorrow if the fight is next. its hearn that has said theyre fighting povetkin no matter what now.

i appreciat the fan fiction, but the truth is they accepted eddies offer knowing it meant eddie could put the fight on dazn.

They might still sign after all? Maybe there will be news tomorrow then.

Hearn is telling them even if they sign, the fight won't be until April and AJ is fighting Povetkin no matter what.
