Booking passage on the Povetkin war wagon

Please excuse the title, I always hated that warwagon **** but I needed an “eye catcher” lol

Anyway the only full fights of Povetkin I had watched prior to this week were against Wlad and Tekham but I have been going over all the fights I could find and you know what he’s a good fighter.

A sneaky overhand right, a quick leaping left hook with power and killer instinct.

Yeah he got caught cheating but you tell me the percentage of top fighters that have not taken peds whether they were caught or not.

But my focus is on the fighter and he is a damn good one, I like his temperament in the ring and outside of it, the dude doesn’t talk the talk but he definitely walks the walk.

His hero is Mike Tyson and he pays respects by wearing the all black shorts with the black shoes and no socks.

He has a great temperament in the ring after every round he looks to touch gloves with his opponent which some people think it’s bad but to me it’s a sign of respect, he never fights dirty (well at least foul wise)
And When the bell rings he’s throwing punches with bad intentions like his role model in the ring.

I like AJ but to me this is a good fight, and if the Russian was 3-4 years younger he would be the favorite imo.

And just to let the fanatics know I don’t care who wins I just want to see a good fight, and I think Povetkin will surprise some people who are writing him off.

100% agreed. I wouldn't be surprised if he sparks Joshua cold. Unless the Charles Martin fix is in. I don't think he rolls that way though and this will be Joshuas most serious test.

I'll join up. Don't like his cheating past but the fact is he's a good fighter and I believe he's a dangerous match for AJ.

Count me in too. *** aj & hearn. They've ducked a dangerous fight only to get involved in this one against povetkin which is roughly the same risk. With less reward.

Povetkin is dangerous, Donkey Wilder ducked him like a coward, that tells you something.

all I can wish is good luck to Povetkin. an ex cheater, with good power, is no match to AJ.

I'll be cheering for him no doubt. I know he would be more honest about fighting for the undisputed spot.
About the fight: Joshua will come to bully him like all the small opponents until now, which can prove to be an error as he will be getting himself in the range of that left hook. A lot of people are downplaying Povetkin by his last fight, but remember that Price was careful in keeping the distance, that's what gave povetkin some trouble
