I’d be disappointed if Joe were to take on one of the above light heavyweights. If he’s reminded us he’s still a fresh and vital champion, the same cannot be said of Tarver and Jones – the current number four light heavyweight (Tarver) and the fallen great (Jones) being in various stages of erosion. With a young, talented super middleweight rival in Mikkel Kessler, it would be a terrible waste if Calzaghe didn’t take on the WBA titlist, from Denmark.
I can’t think of anyone who’d give the WBO and IBF champion a tougher fight.Comment

Kessler is a superb jabber and would present a whole different set of problems than Lacy, who was bullied, battered and outclassed before being dropped with an uppercut in the twelfth round to have his record blemishedComment

If the belts still matter to you, than i guess it is a big fight. Dosn't change the fact that Beyer ain't that good.Originally posted by jangeorgNot a big fight ????
It is about WBA and WBC-belt,isn't that not big enough for youComment

No Beyer ain't good, but it will leave Kessler with two belt and it will be easy for Kessler to get better opponent, perhaps Calzaghe ?Comment

I hope so. Kessler packs a bigger punch than Lacy (From what I have seen), and he's a better boxer technically speaking. That has the makings of a great fight on it. It'd be a damn shame if Joe didn't take the fight.Originally posted by jangeorgNo Beyer ain't good, but it will leave Kessler with two belt and it will be easy for Kessler to get better opponent, perhaps Calzaghe ?Comment
