  • Wilder had the contract and sat on it for NINE days. Finkle even said they would review before signing. Yet, nothing, until now, AFTER Joshua is forced to sign to fight Povetkin, does Wilder open his trap to talk shit. If there was a problem with the contract, why not publicly complain over the NINE days that team Wilder had it? We didn't hear that Wilder's people were trying to resolve any issues they may have had. All we heard is that Hearn reached out several times and never got an answer nor his calls returned. At first, I thought Hearn was playing games, but in light of the latest developments, it seems like Wilder just doesn't want this fight.

On Tuesday June 19th, we requested a clarification of two points. They did not respond. I requested them again on Thursday, June 21st, and we finally received a response on Friday, June 22nd.

"Two days later, on Sunday, June 24th, I sent them a letter acknowledging Eddie's email of June 22, telling them they would have the contract back by Friday, June 29th. Since the contract did not state the date or the venue, I also asked for that information. These are the facts and Matchroom will have the contracts back to them by Friday, June 29th."

Finkel said it will then be up to Hearn to address the issues he pointed out

“I asked them on Sunday what date and what venue and they wouldn’t tell us, because they never wanted to do this fight.”
You mean Finkle was sending back an unsigned contract and looking to waste even more time even though he knew AJ had the WBA mandatory on the horizon?

Yeah, we know who the problem was.

I think you'll find that Wilder is the one who can't do an interview without contradicting himself all the time. He's quite well known for it now. So it's ironic you wrote that.

Wilder would be an idiot to sign a contract and then have to wait for Hearn to pick a date which gives AJ a big advantage. It is not a big deal for Wilder's team to seek clarity.
What advantage would AJ have without the date and venue?

Hearn would have taken no more than 2 weeks to sort that out. Wilder is pissing in the wind with that excuse. And so are you.

Joshua is given carefully cherry picked opposition and still only fights when his team can control every facet of the fight from ring size to officials. You don't really think Joshua would be allowed to fight Ortiz for any amount of money. His last fight went the distance against Parker, a much smaller heavyweight. Hearn will continue this farce until Joshua makes as many trumped up defenses as the suckers will pay for then he'll fight Wilder who will in my opinion knock Joshua's glass jaw right out of the ring. Of coarse even then Wilder will have to agree to a rematch clause to get the initial fight and Joshua's cult like blind fans will once again pay to see Joshua get beat down for a second time against a REAL fighter. Hey Joshua go make a movie and make room for the real fighters
With what you just wrote, it shows how deluded and beyond help you really are.

Joshua is the protected one? Wilder fights the threats in the division?

Cancel your account and don't come back. This was too horrid even for a ******ed American.

Because Wilder could have been unknowingly signing to be AJ's opponent AFTER the Povetkin fight. Wilder wanted assurance the fight would be next. Not for some random date later on.

Or maybe from winning a decision against a tiny fighter like Parker? Joshua is a farce, just because lunitics will pay to see this carny barker dance in the ring against cherry picked opponents doesn't make him the best heavyweight out there. That would be Wilder, Joshua is the best heavyweight in his protected turf of England and there is a very good reason why he stays there
Hahahahaha, Enjoy watching Wilder face yet another bum. Just like he always does.

Povetkin isn’t an easy fight though so it’s actually a risk to delay the Wilder fight as Povetkin is capable of sparking AJ out.
Hearn sent them a contract to sign. You don't do that if you're ducking. Not their fault Finkle spent ages going over the offer then refusing to sign. The blame lands firmly at Wilder's feet.
