Is the best in the division?

Hell, a soft blown up cruiserweight just destroyed David Haye.
Don't get me started on the coked out soft bodied gypsy who punches himself in the face who is considered the best and no man born from his mother can beat him.

These guys wouldnt even be ranked top 5 in the 90s

We don't know if he's the best yet. He's earned the right to be considered #2 at worst and there is an argument he should be considered #1, although I personally rank AJ at #1.

Regardless, Wilder is a freak of nature. The most powerful puncher I've ever seen in my life. What he's achieved, having picked up the sport at such a late age, and being a relatively small heavyweight in terms of weight, without the benefit of world class technical skill, is really amazing. People make fun of his wild style all they want, but the dude keeps knocking people out. He has two knockout wins over consensus top 4 fighters, something no other heavyweight can say.

I hate all this romantic nostalgia towards previous eras

Whether you like Wilder or not or think his technique is sh.it or not he’s proved he’s no worse then the 2nd best HW right now and his fists have nuclear power

Only boxing fans will complain about a top HW who has shown he has the power to have a man shaking like he’s having a seizure after being knocked out wondering if he just killed a man in the ring

HW has been very weak for a very long time.

Why would someone as big as HW settle for boxing? They have a better chance going pro in a different sport, making more money, and literally not getting beat up.

I see why HW boxing is dead.

Smaller weights wont die because those weights have no other sport replacement
