At this stage in both fighters career this fight should be fun to watch with high stakes. Pacquiao needs to absolutely prepare for Matthysse, which I'm sure he is. The fact that he took a Matthysse fight over Alvarado shows that he's not willing to just fight anyone. At 39 Pacquiao is still seemingly challenging himself and sees Matthysse as a legitimate challenge. With that being said I'm sure the legendary PacMan will prepare adequately.

Matthysse seems to be at a point in his career where he needs to get motivated for a fight. If the fight isn't interesting or challenging for him it seems like he'll give us a lackluster performance. But, I think Matthysse is relishing this moment and knows that this is probably the biggest fight of his career. Matthysse is going to come prepared. This fight is gonna be good. Two aging veterans who are motivated to continue fighting and to prove something to themselves more than anyone else.

Trying to re-wire Matthysse's routine (game plan) like that might be a recipe for disaster. Diaz prepping him to hold back and try to time someone he's never been in the ring with, and hasn't been in the ring with someone who has the speed of Pac.
Pac is definitely hittable. Matthysse should just do what he's been doing all along, come forward and drop bombs.

Nothing wrong with preparing to catch Pac moving in but the truth of the matter is that Pac made the mistakes that Marqueiz capitalized on.
Pac made a double feint move then fell inside, Marqueiz barely giot his shot off and thats why it was a very short yet powerful result. The KO was as much Pacs error as it was Juans punch results.

I believe Pac can beat Matthysse easily but when fighters get old they some times get older during a fight.

Both should be retired!

Marquez has sniper like precision. That's like saying a guy that rampages with a ******* will suddenly magically pick up sniper like accuracy. And that's assuming he can even get the timing. His shot won't be perfect on the chin. He's better of with his high temple hook shot.
