Comments Thread For: James DeGale-Jose Uzcategui: IBF Orders Purse Bid For July 5

The IBF ordered a purse bid Monday for its mandated super middleweight title bout between champion James DeGale and interim champion Jose Uzcategui. Handlers for DeGale and Uzcategui were given 30 days from May 23 to come to an agreement on their own. Once they couldn't compete a deal by Monday's deadline, the IBF scheduled a purse bid for July 5 at the sanctioning organization's headquarters in Springfield, New Jersey.

Either Degale vacates and fights Saunders or he takes the fight and this would likely be close to the end of the road for him

They got this wrong, Direll quit and played it off like he wanted to continue. Follow this guy, he is a beast. Uzcategui had good head movements and faints along with power when he was pressing and breaking direll down.

Degale dumping that belt I bet. A Saunders fight makes more sense for him.

Glad to see Uzcategui get his shot.
                Kudos to the IBF.

Im a fan of Degale but not sure he has much left to trouble Uzcategui.
