  • Comments Thread For: Pulev-Miller Eliminator - Epic Wins Another IBF Purse Bid

Epic Sports & Entertainment has won another purse bid for the right to promote an IBF heavyweight title elimination match involving Kubrat Pulev. The New York-based company out-bid Team Sauerland, Pulev's promoter, to earn the right to promote Pulev's fight against Jarrell Miller. Epic Sports & Entertainment's winning bid was $2,111,111, more than twice the amount Team Sauerland bid ($1,000,010).

If DAZN and Eddie Hearn are smart, they pick up this fight and stage it in the USA.

If it lands in Bulgaria, no way Miller takes the fight.

Why isn’t it a 50/50 split??? Pulev ain’t champ. The IBF is doing themselves no favors with this.

          Miller won't fight Pulev.

If this Epic company is NY-based, why would they stage the fight in Bulgaria? Doesn't make sense.

Pulev is #2 and Miller is #3. According to the IBF rules, if #1 or #2 fight someone #3 or lower, #1 or #2 get 75% and the lower ranked fighter gets 25%.

Ivaylo Gotzev is the promoter for Epic Sports.
He is Bulgarian and so is Pulev.

I wonder why they bid so high? Pointless giving that sort of money away

Agree. The bid is even higher than for the Whyte fight.

Maybe they want to "sell" the fight.
