Comments Thread For: Mares Willing To Face Russell, Warrington, Frampton, Valdez

The recent loss to Leo Santa Cruz in a vibrant battle at the Staples Center in Los Angeles has not left former world champion Abner Mares out of the mix. Mares intends to prove that he's still part of the elite group of boxers at 126-pounds when he returns in the final quarter of the year.

Nope Russell vs Cruz should be next. He said he wasn't going to face Russell next in the press conference if he won, so I wouldn't give him another title shot right away. Oscar Valdez vs Carl Frampton would be cool too.

Before he lost, he only wanted Frampton or Selby. Now he's mentioning Russell Jr.! That's a first! Hopefully Russell Jr. vs. Santa Cruz is next! Mares vs. Jo Jo Diaz would be a good one too!

Mares will loss against all of them. Mares esteem went up when he won against cuellar but cuellar was never that good.

Highly doubt it. He cant beat Russel Jr. or Leo but the rest I give 50/50.

I think Jesus Rojas can beat anybody at 126. That is the reason no body mention his name. Now he will face JoJo Díaz August 11 And mark my world Rojas wil KO Diaz.
