Some Mexicans hated Oscar because he abused and slapped Julio Cesar Chavez around the ring until he knocked him out in one fight and made him quit in the other. Hate him or love him, the undeniable fact is that Canelo sells tickets.

Yeah this is true. I was a DLH fan at the time. DLH was not beloved by Mexicans IMO. They got on board when he fought Tito. DLH's fan base was cross over and a lot of casual fans. Canelo has a lot of casual fans in Mexico, especially female fans. It is one of the reasons he gets hate. That and he doesn't fit the bill of what the stereotypical Mexican fighter should be.

Everyone wants both fighters to go for the KO. However, on fight night, we'll likely have one fighter stalking/chasing the other for the entire night. You would think the fighter that is 10 years younger would try to KO the older fighter, but the fear is real.

I don't know if you can grasp this, but Mexico is not a race. It is a country. Being Mexican or Mexican American means being connected in some way to that country or culture. Just about every race and ethnic group imaginable is found among the Mexican population.
