Barry McGuigan, trainer for Josh Taylor (14-0, 12 KOs), is not worried about his fighter stepping in the ring with WBC junior welterweight champion Jose Ramirez (22-0, 16 KOs). On Saturday night, Taylor picked up the biggest victory of his career when he won a twelve round unanimous decision over former world champion Viktor Postol - in a final WBC world title eliminator.

Taylor dropped Postol in the 10th round, not the other way around. This article makes it seem the other way round. Postol got saved by the bell

Join the WBSS Super Lightweight Tournament!

          June 11, 2018:

Maurice Hooker marched into hostile territory this past Saturday win the WBO super lightweight title at Terry Flanagan’s expense. The Ring reports that, rather than rest on his laurels, “Mighty Mo” has agreed to join the World Boxing Super Series 140-pound tournament, becoming the third world titlist to do so.

          The current field:

          Ivan Baranchyk
          Anthony Yigit
          Regis Prograis
          Ryan Martin
          Kiryl Relikh
          Eduard Troyanovsky
          Maurice Hooker

Josh Taylor is reportedly in consideration should he defeat Viktor Postol a week from this upcoming Saturday.

Ramirez isn't going to fight Taylor or any other top contender any time soon.

Ramirez vs Taylor doesn't belong and wont sell in NY. The fight only makes sense in LA or Liverpool

Hope he joins WBSS. Should be a great tournament currently but adding him would be a win-win if he can be the last man standing. Personally I think Prograis is gonna come out of this a star
