Hearn said in an interview that the fight could be difficult to make because Wilder has multiple people advising him and that they might disagree with each other. That could be the situation. Who knows what Al Haymon's role in all this is.

Surely then Wilder and co would be telling every media outlet who will listen that Hearn has tried to change the terms that were agreed?

Since we haven’t heard that, I doubt that’s the case.

Hearn should go ahead with the Povetkin fight, not like he was going to make Wilder Joshua next anyways. We all knew that for a while now.

Stop with the tongue dance and go ahead with Povetkin. Have no idea why they can't negotiate this later or is it cuz Hearn has Miller lined up next after Povetkin?

One of the most irritating men in boxing.
If you are correct Wilder will sign and call Hearns bluff but if you are wrong Wilder wont sign because he knows Hearns isn't bluffing.

Can't have it both ways, it's one or the other.

Probably the most accurate of all the posts... including mine.

Hearn says a lot of things. But in a youTube interview posted yesterday Wilder himself said that he makes his own decisions and not his advisors. His advisors din't want him fighting Ortiz but it happened because Deontay made the decision it would happen. Unlike many fighters (AJ for example) Wilder is not a puppet on a string but calls his own shots. I'm not saying this is wise but it is certainly admirable. It also gives one some insight as to what it is that makes Wilder different. He is a true warrior.

“Deontay has accepted his terms to fight in the UK. Deontay sent an email to Joshua [on Sunday] night and I sent one [on Monday] to Barry Hearn and Eddie telling them that we officially accept the offer to fight under the terms they gave us and to send us the contract.”

What the hell changed??? Just sign the damn contract.
They had two questions they needed answered about the details in the contract. Did Hearn ever answer those questions?

He better be careful because I get the sense that AJ is getting sick of Hearn’s lies.
And for the record, I don’t believe that AJ turned down the $50 million; I believe Big & Little Hearn turned it down for him. No man in his right mind turns down $50 million! Who cares if you lose, it’s $50 million which is more than most fighters will earn in their entire career
Agreed. I dnt think AJ is ****** like some of these blockheaded fighters. He must have been angry at the turning down of the 50 Mill because as a man i believe AJ wants to fight Wilder. I dnt see AJ staying with Hearn forever, he will likely be trying to get out of his contract or playing it out and signing elsewhere once it expires.

Meh. Fight is gonna happen when it makes the most money possible or whenever someone is ready to be cashed out by their promoter. More than likely, it ends up like the Gamboa/Lopez situation.

Personally, I hope Fury knocks off Joshua and fights Wilder. That fight is way more interesting to me.
