Quick Question That Bugs Me....

I think a good amateur background with a gold medal or even silver or bronze in the Olympics is beneficial to launching a career and getting promotional deals, etc.
Beyond that, it doesn't mean much in the pros. I praise Lomachenko for his amateur career but that is what it is-his amateur career. I think he's doing great as a pro as well, but it's two different things.
I mean, you look at Roberto Duran and so many others who had almost no amateur career and went on to greatness. So it looks good, but is not essential at all.
In regards to sparring, I like hearing sparring stories sometimes but well, sparring in the end doesn't count for much. It's sparring and most likely no one will even see it besides those present in the gym at the time and you know how folks love to exaggerate.Comment

Words of wisdom, man. You can't help what other people say and do, but you can control your response to it. The problem here appears to be that you're bugged so maybe you ought to think about ways you can change that, cos you'll never be able to change the unending ******* of other peoples dumb (from your perspective) words and actions.
Some people find meditation helps, or yoga. Others like to hit things.Comment

medals help launch careers
sparring/gym stories can be funny AF

"Unlogicomal."
Well, if we had the Spaddy sparring session, that would be great. I haven't seen it. Beyond that, they never fought for real. I mean, both dudes are out. So is Morales-the other sparring boogey man. It's time to let it go.Comment
