    boggles the mind
If boxer_a owned boxer_b in sparring, how is it NOT relevant (at least to some extent)?
If boxers a & b were **** in amateurs, how is it NOT relevant (at least to some extent)?

Once someone destroys you in the amateurs you will be intimidated by that fighter in the pros. That's why Rock Newman would never let Bowe fight Lewis

What should I tell you? What's obvious already? Maybe you lack some reasoning/logic skills, I don't know...

It doesn't matter. If boxer_a OWNED boxer_b even in sparring, it can be used as an argument in discussions.
If a boxer had a very sad ama background it can be brought as an argument in discussions.

Because fans use these fights to legitimize their opinion especially when it helps their reasoning.
I say ams and sparring have no consequence to any argument in the pros.

If they fought just a year ago in the ams would it matter in the pros? Of course.
Fans simply use them part of their basis to what could be the outcome of a pro fight. Esp if the fighter’s styles haven’t change a lot since meeting in the ams.
If they solely base on that then that’s their mistake.
Fighter’s history is important but only to an extent.
