Not at all. What he could be doing is having Yarde fight on undercards to build up experience quietly then shout out the rooftops when he is actually ready to compete.

Comments Thread For: Martin Murray Beats Garcia By Decision in Foul-Filled Fight

It wasn't a pretty victory, but Martin Murray fended off Roberto Garcia in their middleweight fight Saturday night. Murray mostly was the busier, more accurate fighter and withstood Garcia's rally late in their 12-round middleweight match at O2 Arena in London. England's Murray (37-4-1, 17 KOs) won a unanimous decision over Texas' Garcia (41-4, 24 KOs, 1 NC), who had two points deducted, one apiece in the second and ninth rounds.

Even O'Hara Davies is more respectable and credible at this stage and he only had 18 amateur fights.

Yarde keeps talking about 'timing' which indicates he wants to cherry pick his way through his career. As a boxing fan, why would you want to see that?
As a boxing fan I understand he needs time to grow and develop. You people want everything here and now, and you're sceptical and negative about everything. Sometimes I wonder how you lot get on in life with the constant negativity that gets spouted, must be a real bad time being around you lot.

If you turn pro and expect the public to pay to watch you, don't complain when you get criticised for fighting such poor opponents. Especially if you're profile is as flashy as Yarde. And especially if you haven't even fought any decent domestic level opponents.
Look at Josh Taylor in his 13th pro fight trying to take on a former World Champ. Then compare to Yarde and this garbage he put on tonight.
People are different and fighters' journeys are different. No two fighters are the same so you just because A done this you can't expect B to do it too. They are completely different...different skill sets, different strengths and different weaknesses. Whilst one fighter may be ready for world level quick time another won't be.

Where is Boxnationfan to tell us what a cracker of a card this was, with evenly matched 50/50 fights that wowed the socks off all 700 fans at the O2

Davis Vs Catterall would be fun.

The Dubois win was satisfying after Little's trash talk.
Talk of him vs Gorman seems to be thrown around a lot recently.

Nobody bothered with a round by round and switched over to Taylor vs Postol. Don't blame them. I still wouldn't mind seeing Murray land one last good fight.
