He is only a boxing trainer not an actual boxer in the fight. Nothing he says can be really bad for boxing nor can casual fans backing one boxer over another be really bad for boxing. Neither thing is important or hurts the sport of boxing. What hurts boxing is poor fights when fans were expecting great fights. The first fight between Canelo and GGG was a good fight and the rematch should be better. Casual boxing fans still have brains and think for themselves and make up their own mind about things. They are not as easily influenced as you are making them out to be.
