By Thomas Gerbasi - At this point in time, it wouldn't be out of line to assume that there is nothing new to be learned about Muhammad Ali. Watch Ali's fights with Ken Norton. Especially the third one and then tell me that he's the greatest. Ali's lost all three of those fights, and his clowning (instead of fighting) in the third fight was done because he simply could not box/fight Ken Norton straight up and defeat him. Watch that third fight and explain how it was that Ali was declared the winner.

It may be a good read, but 1/3 of boxingscene seems to disavow compubox

This was not prime Ali he had 3 phases of his career, and what does losing a few fights mean against the entire resume, the Greatest is an accomplishment based on ALL Ali did.

Now you tell me who is the Greatest of All Time in any division and I will show you fights where they look anything but great .

When talking Greatest is way more involved than a couple of fights.

Exactly. I think people are ******ed.

It's like nowadays the modern day fan thinks one bad performance or a loss defines an entire career which is idiotic
