FYI there will be a rematch regardless of outcome for the Usyk Gassiev fight as per general secretary of the Russian boxing federation .

Rematch in US possibly LA...but two East Euros should fight on NY. They could sell a decent amount of tickets to the Russian and Ukrainian diasporas .

Favoured Usyk from before the WBSS to reign supreme, but Gassiev might be all wrong for him, especially now in Russia. Usyk is a slow starter and picks up the pace as his opponent fades, he is a cardio machine.

In this instance, you don't want to be behind on the scorecards in enemy territory and I don't think Usyk will KO Gassiev, and Usyk likes to keep distance, not sure how a strong face-first pressure fighter like Gassiev - who has pretty good power and works the body - will be too detered from coming after him.

Breidis made Usyk look not so great, but then again he was able to disrupt and reset Usyk with his superior hand speed and quick jab. Gassiev might be too slow for Usyk, and if he is and Usyk gets in his rhythm then it will go to him.

Genuine 50/50 fight - it all comes down to how much of a heart Usyk has and if he can avoid getting worked to the body too much. His cardio weapon can be neutralised that way - though Gassiev CAN be outboxed.

Both these guys would do decent at HW. I think Usyk does better against Wilder than Gassiev but Gassiev does better against AJ.

This is the most important fight in a very long time, all 4 titles on the line, 2 undefeated extremely strong and versatile champions, sadly this boxing forum barely has actual boxing fans who care about such matchups.
