Comments Thread For: Lewis Ritson: I Feel Unstoppable, I'll Fight Anyone Hearn Gets

Lewis Ritson says he feels unstoppable after producing another stunning display of power to destroy Paul Hyland Jnr in one round to take home the British Lightweight title for keeps. Ritson blasted Hyland Jnr away inside the opening session of their clash in Newcastle, much to the delight of a raucous crowd in the Metro Radio Arena and presented his Dad and trainer Davie with the perfect Father's Day present a Lord Lonsdale belt for the mantelpiece.

A fight with Coyle next could work well next "Winner to fight Tatli?". There's also Fa$t £ddie's Monaco & US cards to consider.

      Great progression.

He doesn’t have the commonwealth does he?

He could add that and the European before fighting a world ranked opponent.

He’s one of them that looks fairly basic but he’s wiped out the domestic seen extremely easily and in just 8 months

Just remember Tommy Coyle has the commonwealth. I don’t think Tommy will want that fight

Giving the likes of Scott Cardle and Paul Hyland a pasting is hardly a sign that he's ready for big things. These boys are ok domestic level. How does he look against a proper C or B- class fighter? A fight with Ricky Burns would tell us a bit more. If he can't beat Burns at his stage of his career with something to spare then he'll struggle against the top 10 guys. Like with Anthony Yarde, it's time to step it up and take a proper test.

That reaction he got makes you think Hearn will build a fortress in Newcastle for him, wont even need Josh Kelly on there, can tell who the locals prefer. Could see him on the next Joshua undercard, get eyes on him, he can become hugely popular.

Agreed! I've been watching him for a while now. It was nice to see him fight an area title some time ago. Commonwealth & EBU would be nice for him.
