The negotiations for this Golovkin rematch went left from what Alvarez likely wanted (going from giving up 35% to giving up at least 42% couldn't have been fun), but he's been on top for too long to let Sanchez/Golovkin trick him out of his position.

Sanchez has made it clear that Golovkin only has one way to win the fight; do everything in his power to try and get Alvarez to set his feet to give his guy a chance.

    Good luck

Pretty much. Golovkin finally saw one real payday, and he bugged out. No longer heading to Kazakhstan to headline the major event that he's been sponsored for for the last two years, no more smiling, friendly guy trying to "aw shucks" his way to stardom, etc.

Same thing that seemed to happen to any fighter that hit the Mayweather Sweepstakes (Cotto, Canelo, and Marquez being outliers); the moment that the Floyd fight is done with, every basic urge/fear for a fighter is met, so you're left with actually wondering what you'd want to do if your basic fears were settled.

I don't get it. Is Canelo supposed to be insulted by this?

Unlike those in this forum who DO speak english, and are all humble, wise, and non-opionated geniuses.

Why was GGG asking reporters to ask questions through translator and answering questions in Russian during that Ring magazine event? He seemed very pissed off and unhappy with media.
