Timothy Bradley vs Keith Thurman for the WBA title, in late 2018

Thurman’s last fight was against Danny Garcia in March 2017. He needed surgery on his elbow, which made him unable to train for months. He planned on coming back in May 2018 against a TBA opponent, but then he injured his hand. He gave a statement in April about needing to rehab his hand and elbow. His return date and next opponent still hasn’t been determined.

Bradley hasn’t fought since April 2016. 11 months before Thurman’s last fight. But Bradley didn’t announce his retirement until 10 months ago on August of 2017, which was 5 months after Thurman’s last fight. He said he decided to retire after being ringside at Pacquiao’s fight against Horn. Bradley said that after he saw Pacquiao getting roughed up by a no-name fighter, he didn’t want to go out like that.

Bradley was undefeated at 140, and only lost to Pacquiao at 147. Bradley has acknowledged that he “left millions of dollars on the table.” Broner recently called out Bradley to come out of retirement to fight him at a catchweight of 144.

I think Bradley vs Thurman would be an interesting fight. Both would be coming off a long layoff. Bradley’s layoff is 11 months longer than Thurman’s layoff, and Bradley lost his last fight to Pacquiao. But Bradley hasn’t had any injuries or surgeries following his final fight. Thurman has spent his entire 15 month layoff dealing with surgery, injuries, and rehab.

Thurman would probably win, but I’ll be rooting for Tim.

I think it's a close fight that Thurman would win. He is a much harder puncher and just as fast and skillful. Bradley throws more punches per round but Thurman has a good defense. Bradley is retired and I doubt he comes back. He is too smart to come back and risk his health when he is very well off.

Bradley needs to come back for legacy sake otherwise its hard to guage him; he beat Manny the once(gifted but outworked) so I give him that, he beats roided ultimate ssj Marquez in his best boxings displays, but went about kinda running in a punk ass way......Gets Him HOF points

In contrary he got koed like 3 times in one fight by a complete bum in prov; and he's then hes in complete jobber mode for Arum, doing backflips from Manny taps, putting his ass in the air acing on my screen like a clown then is inviting Manny to the Bistro like they are life long friends thereafter(To Teddy's Disgust)....

I like Bradley but he needs a Broner, Thurman or Swift fight to gauge his talent and where he stands in history amongst his peers....He dont need killers like Crawford and Spence, he needs out of those 3......If Bradley was smart she should targeted Horn when Manny lost and ducked him
