I'm comparing it to Showtime. The networks have different sub levels so comparisons across networks are tough imo. The only clear "bad results" are the HBO cards that do low numbers b/c they're the only network that has completely live viewing numbers. ESPN (now) and Showtime are bifurcating views.

Saw that too. I think Dan Rafeal is low-key to thank for that (also put out an article today about Spence w/ the highlight reel. And had him on his ESPN+ show)

I'd imagine they'll start pumping him more because ESPN has a vested interest in making the Crawford v. Spence fight now. They have the inside track on a potentially $100 million dollar fight. Those execs aren't dumb.

how did u guess the streaming Numbers?

I don’t even go by the subscription numbers because if people are interested they subscribe and watch.

I put for Espn and if bowling is on I don’t watch. It doesn’t matter if I’m flipping through the channels. I will keep going.

You can't determine anything from a 3 minute period.

I just take a ratio of average viewers for some of the premuim shows they offer like Billions or the Chi. Showtime averages like 300k viewers on the app during the live airing of Billions for example. So I assume that they're pulling 50-60% of that for a live airing of boxing.

Although that may sound generous, I noticed that the network expanded the boxing budget and number of live telecast, despite the live viewing numbers being somewhat flat (also promoted Espinosa to head of all sports content). Which tells me they're seeing increased returns on the investment in that content.

The last reported figure for Showtime app subs was 4 million people (in November of 2017). So when you think about it, pulling 150k-200k isn't all that crazy.

That's really good considering the opponent. Spence might be behind Broner and Wilder as the PBC's biggest draws right now.

Any of these combinations would do great numbers for boxing: Spence/Thurman/Crawford against the Garcia vs Porter winner. Not sure where Thurman stands.
