I am a huge Taylor fan and a big b-hop fan.... After hearing what X said to Steward after his win over Tarver you can tell he has a lot of respect for Taylor.... I hate Dibella so I think that he should drop him as his promoter and find someone else and then try to get Hopkins to be in his corner and train him... if B-hop could help him out some with his defense and ring smarts I think that Tayler could improve a lot...
What Taylor should do...

I gotta say that I wasn't all that impressed with the two decisions over B-Hop, but after the Winky fight I've got alot more respect for Taylor(even though I think he lost). I never saw any effective aggresion against Hopkins who can make anyone look bad, but against Wright I'd say his agression was impressive to me, I feel that Winky won but Taylor showed us that he has alot of potential, but he still need to grow as a boxer.Comment

Yes I agree with you on the B-hop and Taylor fights... I think though that if he could get Bernard in his corner and help him defensively that it could help him alot... I think as respectful as B-hop seems that he wants Taylor to keep a big reign throught he middleweight division and a smart defensive fighter like b-hop could teach some things to taylor and make taylor not take so many punches...Comment

And i guess you missed the following:Originally posted by DiegoFuegoI guess you missed the Hopkins-Tarver fight where he told Steward he hopes Taylor beats Wright and becomes a successful middleweight almost word for word...
In Bernard Fernandez's (Philly.com) latest column Fernandez catches up with Bernard Hopkins and gets the retired Champs feelings on Taylor vs Wright. Hopkins said he has no axe to grind with Taylor, but he can understand Winky's point of view that Taylor gets preferential treatment.
Hopkins is quoted by Fernandez as saying: "I was hoping a clear winner would emerge. I have no ax to grind with Jermain Taylor or anyone else. The middleweight division, and all of boxing, needs clarification as to who the real champions are. It's not about who holds the titles. It's about who's the best. Everybody's telling me Winky deserved to win. I saw the fight. There were a lot of close rounds. I'm not upset that it was a draw. But you knew they were going to give (favorable treatment) to Jermain because he's supposed to be the next big thing. Boxing politics are all on his side. And, to a degree, I can understand that. Jermain Taylor or somebody like him needs to step up and be recognized as the top dog. There has to be an order to things so that they make sense.
Hopkins added: "But right now I don't think anybody, even in Arkansas (Taylor's home state), can say Jermain is a superstar based on his last three fights. There are people who will swear he lost all three of those fights. There are some who say he won all three, too, but you're talking about a lot of unanswered questions. Who's right? Who's wrong? It's not Jermain's fault, but that's the million-dollar question."
I love B-Hop

sure he said that but the day after the Taylor / Wright fight he said that Taylor is HBO's baby boy and of course they are going to give him the decision. Face it Taylor has no real skill and isnt worth a **** for boxing he's a joke and should have just given the belt to Wright or let us see a real fight between 2 great athletes like Wright and Hopkins for the Undisputed Champ of the world in that division. Taylor has yet to win a big fight and the only reason they are saying he needs a break and needs to fight some lesser opponent is not because he's fought too many good opponents in a row and needs a rest it is because they know sooner or later the judges will not give the gift decision to him because he sucks so bad and should have lost his last 3 fights but got lucky because HBO brought him up. If he was a true champ of the ages he should fight any opponent regardless of how many top tier opponents you have fought in a row, no ducking anyone no taking a break because after all you get a break after the fight for a month or 2 then you train for a month or 2 which is practically a break as well.Originally posted by DiegoFuegoI guess you missed the Hopkins-Tarver fight where he told Steward he hopes Taylor beats Wright and becomes a successful middleweight almost word for word...
