Errol Spence: This item could've been labeled MOST DISAPPOINTING. I was settled into my recliner, Stella in hand, expecting to see more than three minutes of the first or second best American fighter on Saturday night. Alas, a left to the gut of poor Carlos Ocampo paralyzed the Mexican in the final seconds of Round1 and he couldn't go on. I had only taken a few sips.

"Consider that Spence (24-0, 21 knockouts) has stopped all but three of his opponents, including his last 11 even though the level of his opposition has improved. He stopped Kell Brook and Lamont Peterson in his two fights leading up to Ocampo.

And Spence has lost only one round (on all three cards) in the three fights that went the distance. He shut out two opponents and almost shut out the third. No fighter has been more dominating."

    Sums things up nicely

I know people get uncomfortable when an old white guy talks about the black community but I was raised in a predominantly black community and love boxing.Just like baseball, boxing doesn't grab the attention of the black community the way it once did..Boxing is not dying but it sure seems more alive when everyone's watching and participating..Spence/Crawford may not happen for a lot of reasons but the main reason it should happen is because it would be the biggest matchup of African American fighters in decades. It could do a lot to inspire kids to want to be a part of the sport and it doesn't hurt that it's the best fight we could hope for..P.S. Sorry if my use of the words Black and White makes you uncomfortable..No one ever called me European American boy

Hopefully Spence fights the winner of Garcia Porter which would be Garcia though Porter would be an easier fight... as for Thurman he's probably on his horse riding into the sunset because I'm sure in my mind and possibly his he wants no part of Spence and will evade him like death... of all the fights this weekend the one potentially that could be made I would like to see is Danny Roman vs Rey Vargas... with his strength sapping body shots I give Roman and excellent chance to beat Vargas...

"The first fight was entertaining, inconclusive and generated a reported 1.3 million pay-per-view buys" not sure what was inconclusive. Ggg deserved a clear victory but was screwed over by terrible and or corrupt scoring. Either way, the bad scoring gave them a real reason to have a rematch and take our money.

I think it was a lot closer than that. I only saw it once when it happened, but Canelo did do quality work and stole close rounds. His downfall was that he wasn't busy enough.

fair assessment but I saw it 8-4. Anything beyond 7-5 for canelo I feel is being overly generous for him.
