He never could, as an amateur he got knocked out many times when his opponents had skill and came at him. He has been fed a career of bums and 45 year old old men like Spence said in regards to Ortiz who couldn't sustain a pressure pace needed to beat wilder. Instead they pad his record with stiffs who just stay outside not coming in.
Wilder is the biggest hype job in boxing, but because he is an inner city black man, with a ****y thug like demeanor, they prop him up as the great black USA hope.Comment

Okay so let’s say Ortiz is 50. Nobody has come close to hitting or hurting him until Wilder. Hopkins schooled much younger guys up until he was 50. Ortiz couldn’t finish Wilder, plain & simple.
It’s as if Wilder lost to Ortiz.
And Ortiz has a hell of a chin. That right hand that led to the finish by Wilder sounded like a damn gun shot when it landed!Comment

I love how Ortiz being 3-10 years older then his announced age is some mainstream sh^t people just randomly announce with all the confidence in the world lmfao.

I remember Ortiz said somewhere he used to watch Ali on television. For him to have vivid memory at the least he would have been about 5. Ali last fought in 81, so even if he was talking about his last fight. He would have been born in 76 if he was 5. Which would put him at 42.Comment

I actually thought Wilder did a better job than I expected when Ortiz had him hurt and tried to finish him. He showed he had some idea how to clinch and survive.Comment

However having watched boxing since the 80's know thats a joke and either young or gullible fans think hes younger than 40 .....Comment
