yeah i think lomachenko has made a laughing stock really of the fans who have been allowing fighters to hide behind their promoters for years. hes wanted the tough fights and hes got them. and now hes at the top of the sport in 10 fights because of it. if both guys demanded to fight each other and refuse to fight anyone else im pretty sure the fight would happen. people dont seem to understand that promoters work for the fighters, not the other way round. unfortunately i think a lot of fighters are all too happy to use the 'i let my promoter pick the fights' line though
you guys are getting what you wanted...

yeah its ridiculous, these are the prime years of their career and they want to **** around marinating **** and fighting bums. its ridiculous. i give more leeway to spence than crawford, cause hes younger and at least hes had 1 tough fight which is more than what crawfords took. not saying crawfords ducked anyone but hes been in weak divisions, and now hes in a division where theres some top opposition he should be lining up the top guys straight away now hes got his first fight at 147 out of the way, a fight against a physical guy where bud looked more than strong enough at the weight already. something i said he would (despite people telling me he needed 3 or 4 fights to adjust to the weight which equals 2 years ffs)Comment

There is a difference between wanting a fight to marinate and people knowing that the marinating route is the one promoters are going to make and there is nothing we can do about it. I don't think anyone on here wants to wait for the fight, but as boxing fans we should all understand that they aren't going to match these guys up now no matter how much either Spence or Crawford say they want to fight one another. Arum himself said he isn't interested in the fight until it can do 500K buys. That alone tells you it isn't happening for at least another yearComment

you all got very very defensive in the thread i did a few months ago saying that the fight should happen after crawford got the horn fight out of the way. you act like these guys dont have any say in their career and that their puppet masters pull their strings, its embarrassing. funny how there was no problem with promoters getting lomachenko v linares on straight away when the fighters demanded it. there was no 'oh yeah, their promoters arent gonna work together' talk then. if both fighters dig their feet in and want a fight theyll get it, or are they so scared of their promoters that they dont dare make any demands, if so thats pathetic.Comment

... most of the top dogs at the WW division are signed with Al Haymon... He managed to make Thurman vs Porter, Thurman vs Danny, Spence vs Peterson... recently, WBC ordered Danny vs Porter...
... on the other hand Arum made Pac vs Horn, Bud vs Horn, Pac vs Lucas...
... none of the fights above is a "big money fight" (except, perhaps, Pac vs Horn)...
... Spence already stated that he will fight Danny/Porter winner and Thurman before he makes the Bud fight...
He won't want Crawford to fight Spence because its way too risky.Comment

Spence just has been chasing the big names at welterweight already for years.
Crawford and Arum knows who he is all they have to do is send the contract.Comment
