Makes tons of sense with Loma on the shelf and it'd probably be a fun action fight. They're just keeping that belt warm anyways, so why not?

Because none of those guys are aligned with Arum. Pedraza is with Arum now and will get a title fight next.

          Exactly.

The relationship between Bob Arum and the WBO screams of corruption to me. But the boxing press, who have a responsibility to report the truth, either don't see it or they don't care.

            A. Pedraza just bean Moran who was #5 so he'll definitely be moving up.

            B. More importantly, it's a voluntary defense so anyone in the top 15 can fight for the title.

Ok. So the WBO #1 contender will get his mandatory shot after Beltran vs Pedraza, right?

Or will Lomachenko get next crack leaving that #1 guy waiting once again?

My guess is they'll order the mandatory after Beltran/Pedraza but a title unification always takes precedence over a mandatory.

So, more than likely, the #1 will have to wait.

                  Well played, Bob Arum.
