They had to make it happen, DLH got no other cash cow's and Canelo off the PEDs will fade fast.

I'm not bias and I had Canelo losing to GGG. I also had GGG losing to Jacobs. So for most people who had GGG winning, bias has nothing to do with it.

I don't know why everyone is attacking GBP. They did exactly what we all want promoters to do, try anything to get the fights we want done, and if that means given up a little then so be it. If more negotiations worked this way, boxing would improve overall. Both camps were in a corner on this one. GGG had a little more strength in these negotiations by virtue of Canelos suspension, loosing the pay day, and he still holds two belts. The only other belt available is Saunders, and it doesn't seem that GBP wanted to go that route. It looks like De La Hoya was really shooting for Jacobs though. I don't think they were just using Jacobs as bait. GBP made an offer which hasn't been reported, but I can't imagine the split being less than 70-30, but I think the minimum guarantee was lower than what Jacobs wanted, and I don't think DLH wants to pay Jacobs commensurate with GGG. Props to GGG for holding out long enough for an improved offer, but he wasn't exactly heading for a major fight either, so it was obvious he'd give in eventually. Something else no one is saying, GBP tried to secure a very dangerous fight against Jacobs rather than running to a lower level fighter, who saw that coming? I'm happy it all worked out. Going from Canelo vs GGG, to Wilder vs AJ, all we need is a fight to end the year on.

Why in the hell should Oscar get praise for making the fight that makes him and his boxer far more money than any other possible fight. Oscar should apologize to GGG for saying GGG was afraid to fight Canelo because clearly he is not the least bit afraid to fight Canelo. He just wanted to be paid what he thinks he deserves.

So the “trace of meat” is a fact? Lets see...

1- You know more about testing and chemistry than the rest of the world

                2- You’re a psychic

                3- You’re a silly fanboy in denial

And LOL @ Canelo “at least deserved a draw”. You’re acting like he was the one who most people had ahead. He was booed right after saying “yo gané” (I won). I really really doubt those hispanics booing were the 15 GGG fans in attendance.

                I’ll take the third one.

GGG is a better negotiator than I thought. Good for him. Now they need to make sure he won't get robbed again.

Obviously Oscar made the fight happen, because he didnt have to give GGG a dime, but 2.5% isnt much, Canelo will beat him. Hes a better boxer.
