I suppose we have to thank MGM for forking over some more money. Oscar is gonna spin this as if GGG caved but apparently he had a deal already in play for Saunders which would've made him decent / good money while Canelo would've very likely fought Spike O Sullivan. As I suspected they threw Danny Jacobs a **** deal and told them to come back with a better offer. Truth is, both GGG and Canelo make the most fighting one another but props to GGG for standing his ground. He's now getting what he wanted, a better deal.

Obviously Golovkin made the fight happen because he agreed to the final offer. It takes two to sign on. In the majority view of serious observers who make their living in the fight game Golovkin won the first fight. He won on points. So exactly how is Canelo a better boxer.
Canelo showed poor stamina, could not take away Golovkin's jab and had a disastrous game plan. Could not force Golovkin to the ropes and generally could not keep Golovkin off of him. He could not sustain prolonged exchanges in the center of the ring. Yeah he throws nice combinations and has good hand speed but those don't necessary make you a better overall boxer than your opponent.

And great head movement.
