Between Hatton's retirement and Froch's last years, Haye was the lone british star. We had some fun nights with him, and some boring ones. And a few disappointing ones.

It was a good run especially 2008-2010.

Well, Froch is right, how can anyone dispute that? He didn't say that Haye was the best ever, but Haye certainly stands out among the so many boxers UK has produced. I I'd probably wouldn't call him a legend or a HOF, but he was a special fighter with very solid achievements. So yeah, he is one of the best UK has shown to the world.

Steve Cunningham held the IBF belt at the time, Haye had the other 3 after knocking out Mormeck(WBA, WBC) and Maccarinelli(WBO).

Is that much of an achievement though? He remained untested at the world stage even if that was due to an injury. Still has one great fight in his options. Fighting Shannon the Cannon Briggs might generate some interest if only for the lols.

Haye was a great CW but a very mediocre HW to be honest.

You're hyping up the Charlo twins even though one of them lost to a decent fighter in Vanes but got a gift? The other one hasn't done **** either Haha. Neither will come close to achieving what Haye did.

He beat the lineal champ in Mormeck but one of the titles went vacant due to politics. Haye picked up the WBA and the WBC from that fight then picked up the WBO from the Enzo fight. So he was the true champ at Cruiser.

He had the talent to be but he was more interested in fame than creating a legacy in boxing. Loads of Brit fighters throughout history are better than Haye and proved much more than he did. But for a short time he was quality. He's certainly better than anyone the Americans have at the minute.

We've got plenty of talent and have had throughout history. No nation has beat you Americans more than we have. Plus, we have beaten you most of the time we do fight. So what does that tell you?
