A few weeks ago BoxingScene.com first reported that IBF lightweight champion Robert "E-Bunny" Easter (21-0) added world class trainer Kevin Cunningham to his team. Next up for Easter is a unification bout against WBC lightweight champion Mikey Garcia (38-0). The Ohio native is currently training at Camp Cunningham in West Palm Beach, Florida where Cunningham said they are, "working on the master plan to beat Garcia."

I am with the consensus that Mikey is the more fundamentally sound boxer. I am also well aware of Easters lack of use of his height/reach advantage. BUT I will say this, Easter height/reach give him an extra option on how to fight this fight, Easter very well could go out there and make this a very ugly fight, hit and hold, rinse and repeat. Mikey will have to score to the body early to work his way in which will make it easier for Easter to implement a hit and tie up strategy. 5inches in height and 8inches in reach is no easy task for any fighter so despite Garcia being the favorite, if he does win (even if its ugly) he deserves praise.

They have the Easter Bunny at 21-0 he could easily be 19-2 lol The plan they should go with us just basic work behind that jab and stay out of range. But Easter tends to let shorter fighters get inside a little too easy and takes unnecessary punishment. If he allows Mikey to get inside early it could be a short night for Easter.

Easter need to stop worrying about his knockout percentage and being an exciting fighter.He should focus on boxing smart winning the fight make it easy as possible.

Easter has always fought like he's a small guy... and he plans on using his reach which I've never seen him do with A if not B plus fighter... doubt it, Mikey going bring the fight to that dude from the opening bell like AB be ready to see upper cuts and hooks all night. TALL for nothing...
