He needs a decent size HW to give him rounds ,he doesn't need a legit HW bc hes already got a guaranteed shot at Joshua as long as he doesn't lose .

Briggs would be better then Bellew who wouldn't resemble anything hes going to be fighting . He needs big HW's coming at him . Briggs isnt bad as long as he fights a relevant HW after if hes 260 , guys like Pulev, Ortiz arent a bad route in a 3rd /4th fight options if available .

Fighting undersized guys is a waste of time at this point .

If I were advising Fury I'd not go near this fight. It's a no win.

Briggs is old and looking it. He cuts a ridiculous figure and the pre-fight banter will increase the sense that Fury's part of a travelling freak show rather than a professional boxer preparing to take on AJ. He's recently tested positive for PEDS and Fury doesn't need any discussion of that in his press conferences. There won't be much credit on offer for beating him. Finally, he can **** and if Fury is slapdash or loses concentration, as he did several times a round against Seferi then Briggs just might spring an upset.

Better to look for someone younger, taller but not hard hitting or particularly good whose record can be span in a positive way so the image doesn't take a further beating.
