Yes, that is how Pac lost. Horn pushed the action and Pac didn't have an answer. He got stung early on by the Hornet and then kept trying to run in with his head down to avoid getting stung again.

I get it though, its Pac and so no one ever wants to admit he ever lost any fight. Always some excuse. The fact is after Manny felt the sting of the Hornet, he was done. He was scared of crapping his pants in the ring again, like when JMM laid him out. Like I said, Bud should destroy the Hornet, because the Hornet isn't really good at all. It was like Pac was a girl. Letting the Hornet do whatever he wanted to him.

This is professional boxing. If you are passive and let your opponent do whatever he wants, you are going to lose. You have to be a man and fight. Pac didn't do that, he is too old and battle-worn.

No need to hate on the Hornet, if he didn't do it someone else would have. In fact, someone else may have well knocked him completely unconscious again. The Hornet will lose to Bud. And all that will prove is how pathetic it is that Pac is still fighting at this point in time.

Horn takes on the toughest fights he can. He doesn't play diva at the negotiating table, and accepts smaller pay so that fights can be made. He shows up to fight, not to just collect the money.

We need more fighters who are like Horn, not less.

Agreed - the OP is not a fan of boxing. Just a simple brained hater.

There you go, have bottle and your binkie, it will be alright.

You are still crying over a 40 year old fighter who lost fair and square! Even Pac admits a fight with someone like Matthysse is a 50-50 fight now. This is Matthysse in 2018, by the way.

Pac had a chance to prove you right and come back and beat Horn, with plenty of working the ref before the fight. The fact is he chose not to.

Pac turned down a chance to fight the Hornet for his old title. Because he knew he would lose again. You can cry all you want, but the fact is Manny was literally scared of a rematch with the Hornet. No amount of crying will change that.

He's accepted a fight he is almost guaranteed to lose. With it, he loses his belt. When he loses his belt, he loses future paydays.

A lot of fighters would be holding out to make sure they got every possible dollar in this sort of situation.

Horn put the fight before the money. I wish more guys would do the same.

You are right Horn has no leverage. And yet Pac was still scared of a rematch. He had the right to a rematch. If he thought he could win back his title, he would have. Fact is, he didn't. He instead chose to fight a washed-up, 140 lb. career gatekeeper for no title.

Pac was scared of a rematch. There is no denying that. He asked for a rematch clause, got it, and then got beaten up and decided he would rather fight a career gatekeeper at 140.

The Horn rematch woulda paid better, and was for a title. Pac ran off with his tail between his legs and admitted that a fight with a gatekeeper who recently quit a fight because he got hit in the eye is a 50-50 fight.

Nothing you say will change the fact that Pac was and is scared of any rematch with the Hornet. He asked for the rematch clause increase of a lucky ko or a robbery. It was neither, it was a beating. And that is why Pac didn't want anything else to do with the Hornet.
