  • Comments Thread For: Maurice Hooker's Trainer Skeptical of Terry Flanagan

While Terry Flanagan was a belt-holder at lightweight and is undefeated(with a record with (33-0, 13 KO's), Vince Parra, the trainer of Maurice Hooker - who faces 'Turbo' on Saturday afternoon at the Manchester Arena for the vacant WBO 140-pound title - is skeptical of Flanagan and his championship pedigree.

Whatever. I just placed a twenty-fiver on Flanagan by KO.

Nice. I'm feelin it, too. Turbo's gonna be ****ing this Hooker senseless. Let's hope Terry jumps on him if he buckles him.

By KO? Who has Terry KO'D that wasn't happy, broke armed, old, small or ice skating. Now that I think about it, he is pretty creative.

Probably I was still thinking about the Magdaleno fight. But you are right, Flanagan definitively showed last night that he's an average fighter at best.

And I'm even angrier now when I think that I was about to bet on Hooker's win at 4.50 before watching his fight against Cristobal Cruz...

At the end of the day, always trust your gut feeling without second thoughts when it comes to betting.

what stops turbo being top level is his lack of power... neither of those two took a backward step all night tho, was a good punch up

Nooo! Terry got it wrong. Hooker was there to be steamrolled. He would've cracked under pressure away from home but Turbo was too damn hesitant all night except for that last round. I thought he was gonna get Hooker out of there but it was too little too late. DAMN!! The worst bit is Hooker ain't goin nowhere, we all know it.
