    Is Margarito a Draw?

i mean ive seen his name out there for "big fights", but i honestly dont think he would even draw interest among casual fight fans. even to me, hes slow, has no good wins, and i dont think i would pay to watch him fight. Do yall think him in a main event would be a success, or why is his name even mentioned for these big fights, because he knocked out Cintron? im not trying to bash him, i just want to know why he is so hyped among some, and could he really be a star in boxing?

i think hes a draw. not a major PPV draw, i dont think he could make a lot of money if he was the big fighter in a PPV match. But when he fights Mayweather, hes prolly the biggest draw that is a reasonable opponent for mayweather at the moment. i certainly enjoy watching him most of the time.

He'll never be a superstar of boxing... unless he beats mayweather... but he'll always have some fans. a lot of casual fans might not even know who he is!!!

ANd hes got power and with power comes Knockouts. people enjoy that

Im still not sure that he brings more money or fans to a fight with Floyd then the winner of Mosley/Vargas would.

Margarito is not a draw by himself but I think he could bring some people into a fight with another big name like Mayweather. I agree with the 1st guy that I think he is highly overrated but these fans & media want to see him in with Mayweather and so it should sell ok

Ok I'm not being racist here but:

Mexicans are one of the poorest races living in the United States per capita. According to the latest U.S. Census Bureau, 44% of the Mexican population live near or in poverty. A lot of them can't afford to buy PPV.

whats that have to do with margarito being a draw???

I think hes an okay draw overall, but hes gotta be put against a more popular fighter...
