Here's the thing about that; At some point it's not going to be about money. If AJ has $100million stacked up, and still won't fight Wilder, he will forever be branded a duck. And for a fighter, there is no greater shame.

They don't want this fight. Period.

And I just hope he gets past Povetkin. Otherwise, it'll never happen.

We already know AJ lies about what is realistic.

He said it wasn't realistic that the fight was worth $100 million and was so sure that he'd sign tomorrow if they gave him $50 million. They gave him $50 million and he still ducked.

In Short ( for Wilder fans ) ....Applying Wilders DEMAND of 40% !

You want Joshua to earn 10 Million more in a mega fight and want Wilder to earn 18 Million more then his highest pay even though this revenue is generated bc of Joshua ? ? lol

            Road blocks doe !
I’m not talking about the fight being in the U.K. I’m talking about AJ taking the $50M guarantee that he said he would. And coming to America to make the fight happen. None of nonsense that you just mumbled becomes moot if the fight happens over here. AJ makes more money taking the fight in America. If the fight totally bombs, AJ gets his $50M, Wilder ends up fighting for free, and whatever investors Team Wilder have financing the $50M guarantee lose a ****load of money. If the fight hypothetically makes $200M, he and Wilder would get an even split. But, AJ would still be making more than he would if they fight in the U.K. And what makes your point even more irrelevant is AJ and his team have already come out and said they’re willing to make less money to stage the fight U.K. Logic and a very small amount of rationale clearly shows that Team AJ are the ones creating the roadblocks by continuing to raise the bar every time Wilder agrees to whatever new term that they dream up.

Citing that according to his representation, the fight is worth a lot more than Team AJ is claiming, as much as $100M in revenue. AJ then shoots his mouth off stating that if the fight is worth $100M, guarantee him $50M, and the fight is on. Team Wilder then calls his bluff, guarantees AJ his $50M. But understandably, since they’re gonna finance the event, they wanna call the shots. The biggest shot being holding the fight in the US. You wouldn’t think that would be a problem. I mean, AJ would be getting his $50M guarantee. But all of a sudden, AJ has a change of heart, and says he’s willing to fight for less money, but the fight has to be in the U.K. Wilder again says no problem. And now all of a sudden Wilder needs to be realistic. Realistic about what? What new roadblock has Team AJ created that Wilder needs to be realistic about?
You summed it up to a T! ....Barry Hearn has admitted he'd advise his son & AJ to not take the fight now (last meeting in NY) for a "legacy plan" purpose & "numbers" (cash) sake, but that the final decision would ultimately be up to them. Why wouldnt they listen to the veteran Barry? So AJ will always come with some convoluted crap out of his mouth that sounds reasonable to the Roboteers. Team Hearn wants "risk free fights" with a stream of steady big money to help fund his billion dollar pet project.....Wilder can derail all that, so the erratic "realistic" talk from Team Hearn persists...

So basically you're saying that team Joshua want to run his career the same way team Wilder have spent the last 3 yrs running his. Got it.

that's the beauty/ugly side of this sport...people wont/don't have to admit stuff like that...and they wont

we have to read between lines...which most of us can...we can all see whats going on here

To piggyback on your “risk free” comment. We get on these forums throw around these numbers and to us, it’s Monopoly money. Totally losing sight of the facts that there’s promoters, networks, venues, investors, etc that are taking financial risks to stage these events.

That’s why to me, it doesn’t make a lot of sense that Hearn didn’t pounce on the $50M guarantee. People throw around the A-side and B-side terms a lot. Citing that the A-side always gets to dictate the terms because they’re the bigger draw, which is true most of the time. But the A-side also usually gets to dictate the terms because they’re the ones putting up more money to stage the event and taking more of a financial risk. That’s why Hearn should pounce on the $50M guarantee. Because essentially, Team AJ will be getting a monster payday without taking any kinda financial risk. Outside of AJ potentially being derailed, this $50M guarantee is probably the sweetest deal I’ve ever seen in all my years as a fight fan. Anyone with a small degree of rationale can clearly see that Team AJ doesn’t want the fight right now.
