GGG didn't wanna fight Derevyanchenko on May 5th, because apparently the money wasn't right. The IBF let him fight Martirosyan, as long as he'd take on Derevy next. The IBF gives GGG until August 3rd to put a fight together with Derevy, but GGG didn't even wanna do that. If he was chasing the paper, he wouldn't have asked for a 50/50 split from Clenelo, as he did not deserve it. Now, he's down a belt, and at 36, he doesn't have much time left. What's next, GGG moves down, creates a new weight division, and starts beefing with the IBF? GGG and his team have some explaining to do.

It's not like the belt is going to be held hostage by either of the guys lined up to fight for it. One wants a rematch with him and the other one is from his same region and the only issue between them is Sergiy's promoter being brash. It wouldn't surprise me if he fights Saunders>Charlo>Sergiy/Jacobs and rides off should he win those fights.
