Which Fight is a better Tuneup for Floyd?

1st off, I knew Oscar would fight again. I said that there is no way he retires without having a official sendoff fight and if he did retire then he would still comeback after Floyd wins his next fight because it would eat at Oscar.

Anyways, like Ive said, none of the fights for Floyd either will happened or make sense except for Margarito, Shane-Vargas winner, and a outside shot at Winky but I dont think theres any way he would take a chance on fighting Winky before the Oscar fight.

That leaves the other 2. Obviously either fight will be good enough to where its not a real "tuneup" but which fight do you think would better prepare him for Floyd?

Someone on here said that Floyd would get more guaranteed money fighting Margarito but Im not so sure of that at all. I think Floyd can make a good amount of money in either a Mosley or Vargas fight. Add to that, if its Vargas then it will be a big fight because who he is and if its Shane then he also has a solid name but Oscar could also promote that fight.

How do we know that Oscar is not telling Floyd to hold off because if its Shane then I will match Arum's price or that Oscar wont fight Floyd unless he fights Shane? I doubt the 2nd one though, because Floyd could just fight Shane after Oscar but who knows?

Anyways, the fight I would rather see is Margarito because I actually think he is a easier fight then the other 2 and Floyd wouldnt have to move up. What do you guys think? Which fight would be harder for Floyd? Keep in mind that alot of you are probally like me in thinking that Vargas was shot and Shane wasnt much better but that fight they had changed that. I just rewatched Floyd-Zab the other day and right after that I watched Mosley-Vargas. Those 2 guys are still pretty good and hit like trucks.

What really can Margarito do better then any of them? He's definatly not faster and I dont even think he has the power that they have. They were hitting eacother with vicious shots. If Floyd were to fight Oscar next year then which fight is a better tuneup? Keep in mind that if you are leaning towards Margarito, then also remember that the Oscar fight will be at 154 and so would the Mosley-Vargas fight. That would give Floyd one fight to get use to the weight.

Still in all, I rather see the Margarito fight. There's also no guarantee that the Oscar fight will happened, so Floyd wouldve then moved up too early.

Nevermind anyway. I just read what Oscar said and he said that he probally wont fight until May. I thought he would fight in early 07, so I dont see Floyd moving up yet, since he will have atleast 2 fights before Oscar anyway

No one you mentioned is a "tune-up". They are all legit contenders.

If he's going to wait for DLH, he should fight a couple guys just inside (or hell, outside, now that he's beltless) the top 15 to stay busy

are we talking about 147 or 154? Because hasn't Floyd had enough 'tuneups' at 147 to maybe fight some real titlists?

I already stated in the thread that neither are real tuneups but Floyd will definatly fight one of them. No way he fights average guys while he waits for Oscar. He doesnt have the HBO contract anymore so he has to fight the big names to make alot of money and he's in his prime now anyway, so I think he only wants big names.

Those other fights wont do nothing for Floyd, he wont make any money, and they definatly dont prepare him for future big fights. He starts fighting those guys and his talents will stay the same instead of getting better. I think there's no doubt that he will either face Margarito or the Vargas/Mosley winner
